view program informationOverviewSector 2 in Australia includes a road trip down a large part of the east coast of Australia starting at Queensland's capital city of Brisbane and heading straight from the airport south to Mullumbimby in the lush sub-tropical Brunswick Valley and then to the inland town of Barraba. From there to Sydney followed by a stay in Coledale south of Sydney. The Tour then flies from Sydney to Melbourne for the Finale of the Australian visit. All International flightsArrange your flights to and from Australia. To join the Tour for Sector 2 you will need to arrive in Brisbane by mid afternoon on 5 June 2007 and depart from Melbourne on 2 July 2007. It is also possible to join the Tour in Sydney on 12 June 2007 or Melbourne on 21 June 2007. Advise the local co-ordinator of arrival date and time to arrange airport pick up. AccommodationPlease contact the local co-ordinator to inform them of your accommodation needs. Either a booking will be made for you as part of group accommodation arrangements, or a list of options will be provided so you can organize you own booking. Payment will be required for all accommodation in Australia Travel within AustraliaBook your own flight from Sydney to Melbourne on 21 June 2007. Advise the local co-ordinator of your arrival date and time to arrange airport pick up. Local co-ordinators will arrange travel between accommodation and satsang locations. Road travel will be organised for you from Brisbane southwards to Sydney and Coledale. Advise the local co-ordinator well in advance to ensure transport is organized for you. On arrival in Brisbane, the Tour will travel by road to Mullumbimby arriving in the evening of June 5, 2007. There will be public satsangs and informal satsangs, outings and a visit to nearby Byron Bay, where a public satsang will be held. On June 9, 2007 the Tour will travel by road to Barraba. The Tour arrives in Barraba on June 9, 2007 where it will be based at Barraba Station with additional accommodation at the Playhouse Hotel and other nearby venues. The Tour arrives in Sydney on June 12, 2007. There will be three evening programs, morning Guru Gita recitations followed by informal morning programs, plus visits to devotees' homes and sight-seeing. Sydney to Melbourne 21 June, 2007On June 21 the Tour will fly to Melbourne, Victoria. Activities in Victoria 21 June 2007 to 2 July 2007Mt. Eliza 22 June, 2007Swami Shankarananda, one of Baba Muktananda’s senior swamis, founded the Shiva Yoga organisation in 1990. Swami Shankarananda will host the tour at his ashram in Mt.Eliza on 22/23 June 2007. Australian FinaleMelbourne 26 June-1 July, 2007Gurudev and the devotees of Melbourne warmly invite everyone to Melbourne for the Finale of the Australian Tour. Baba visited Melbourne three times during the 1970's. Gurudev will honour Baba here with with 6 days of programs. Each day will begin with the Guru Gita recitation followed by an informal morning program and evening satsang programs with talks, chanting and meditation. The programs from 26 June to 1 July will be held at The Gasworks Theatre, Gasworks Park in the bayside suburb of Albert Park. The final public program in Australia will be held on Sunday 1 July at 10.00am. Sector 2 of the Australia Tour concludes in Melbourne and the Tour will depart Australia from Melbourne for Argentina on 2 July 2007.
